• What is The Music Business Checklist?
  The Music Business Checklist (MBC), a six-month online course where you receive daily lessons designed to build on the foundation of your music career. Each day you will dive deep into a particular topic with readings, videos, and a homework activity that will build your business infrastructure. MBC contains 182 lessons broken down into seven categories: Foundation, Finances, Creation, Paperwork, Distribution, Marketing, and Performance. At the completion of MBC, you will have the tools, knowledge, and infrastructure to increase your revenue, fanbase, and build your super team.  Guest experts will occasionally lead program discussions, respectively. Participants work on specific deliverables such as a business model canvas, corporate structure set-up, accounting system set-up, music registration, business planning, and tons more.
• Who is this course for?
  This course is designed for music professionals that are ready to establish their business and take their career to the next level. This includes Musicians, Artist Managers, Music Publicists, Music Marketers, A&Rs, Music Bloggers/Journalist, Talent Buyers, Venue Managers, etc.
• When does the course start? When does it end?
  The course begins January 11, 2021, and ends July 9, 2021. The course is an on-demand, self-paced learning program with group coaching calls, panel discussions, and guest expert lectures.
• How much does the course cost?
  The administration fee of the course is $179.99.
• Are the fees related to corporate structure registration and accounting system included in the fee?
  The administration fee does not cover the fee to register your business with the state or city nor does it cover the cost of any SAAS software we recommend. Please, budget accordingly for those costs. Those costs can average out between $100-$600 based on the corporate structure of your business depending on the state you file with.
• Can I do a payment plan?
  Due to the economic constraints that COVID-19 has put on artists, creative individuals, and the music industry, our default payment plan is six-monthly payments of $29.99.
• What happens when you complete the course?
  By the completion of the course, students will establish their company’s corporate structure & accounting system and have registered (copyright, publishing, BDS, etc.) at least one musical work.
